Our History

For more than a century, Hoxsey Therapy has been used to treat serious and life-threatening illnesses, including cancer.

This therapy originated in the United States, where it was remarkably successful. In 1963, Mildred Nelson, a registered nurse who had worked with Harry Hoxsey since 1946 at the Hoxsey Clinic in Dallas, Texas, and whom he chose as his successor, founded the Biomedical Center in Tijuana, Mexico.

The clinic is located less than a kilometer from the U.S.-Mexico border, near San Diego, California.

Since then, the Bio Medical Center has been the exclusive international center for Hoxsey Therapy. Over the years, Mildred Nelson, a registered nurse, treated thousands of patients, expanded and modernized the Bio Medical Center, and hired and trained a team of licensed, English-speaking physicians and professional support staff who serve the medical needs of patients visiting the Bio Medical Center from the United States, Canada, and around the world.
